Camp Info

At Bike Freedom Academy, our mantra — Balance! Play! Explore! — guides every ride, every game, and every joyful moment.

Our Learn to Ride a Bike Camp is a playful, confidence-boosting program designed to help kids ages 5–10 master the skill of riding a pedal bike — all at their own pace.

Through small group coaching, imaginative games, and lots of encouragement, we focus on building balance, coordination, and independence — both on and off the bike. We don't just teach kids to ride — we help them love the journey.

Types of Camps:

1. Learn to Ride Camp

Designed for children who are still learning to ride independently.

Campers will build balance, steering, braking, starting, and stopping skills through guided instruction, games, and plenty of practice. Our instructors use a supportive, step-by-step approach that helps children build confidence and progress at their own pace.

Best for: Beginners and riders who still need assistance getting started.

2. Bike Skills Camp

Designed for independent riders who are ready to strengthen their control, confidence, and overall biking ability.

Campers will practice safe starts and stops, turning, braking, obstacle navigation, speed control, riding in a group, and other practical skills through games, challenges, and guided activities.

Best for: Riders who can already ride independently but want to improve their skills.

3. Adventure Ride Camp

Designed for confident riders who are ready to explore, build endurance, and experience a longer group-riding adventure.

Each morning, campers will set out on guided rides that combine exploration, skill-building, games, and fun stops along the way. Riders will practice trail etiquette, group communication, pacing, navigation, and safe riding habits while building friendships and confidence.

Best for: Confident independent riders who are comfortable starting, stopping, steering, and riding longer distances.
